A month to remember!

What an amazing month for Julia! She's been doing a lot of stuff already so we'd like to share it with you! Yeah, yeah - we're such stage parents - but we're proud of her!

  • She's been waving since a couple of months back, but she's been doing it to almost everybody consistently! She also waves back to people who wave at her. She's an instant hit wherever she goes.
  • She can blow you a kiss too! She hasn't completed the whole "flying kiss" process yet, but once you ask her she'll do it for you!
  • She can recognize certain words already! Aside from doing the skills mentioned above when you ask her to, Julia recognizes names (particularly her entourage), animals (her pet dog donkey, cats, lizards on the ceiling, birds), things like airplanes and pictures (especially Papi's, Mommy's, babies and her own!) and her toys (Lumpy, Roo, Mickey and friends)
  • She can do the indian call (I really don't know any other word to describe it). She saw Mom and Ninang Marge do it and she followed what they were doing! It's done by cupping your hand over your mouth ... you know the rest!
  • She can stand up with some support - either from Mom and Papi, or a nearby chair or sofa!
  • Julia is also starting to take steps too! She gets the idea of which foot to go first to initiate the movement! Papi helps her out by staying at her back and holds her hands.
  • And here's one for the books! This made Papi cry! Julia loves the Little Einsteins show - there's a part in every episode where the kids encourage the viewers to pat their laps with their hands to help their rocketship fly. With enough patting, they ask the viewers to raise their hands and blast off! Julia did all these by herself!

Wow! We promise to take videos of these skills soon! Speaking of skills, Julia will try her first The Little Gym class tomorrow! We'll take pictures too! Drop by the site again to see them!

We want to give a shout-out to Ninang Mitz who had an appendectomy the other day. We're keeping you in our prayers! Get well soon!

Julia's turning 1 soon! Birthday countdown - 44 days!
